Just the facts: married 6 years this November with three kids (all boys!) aged 4, 3, 1 and two rescue pups. I live in Columbia, SC and work at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!)

My husband and I got engaged after dating for 7 weeks. We married 9 months later. We had a baby 9 months after that. 16 months later, we had another one. Then we waited 2 whole years before welcoming baby #3 in 2019. Our house is chaos and I feel like I am constantly playing catch-up.

I started this blog at the start of COVID quarantine because I didn’t think that working from home while also taking care of three kids was enough work and I really wanted more to do. Ha. Ha. Not really. I started the blog as an extra Instagram account that I thought would be fun and creative and something I could do that was just for me. And then I realized that to really write and have fun, I should have a blog with the Instagram account, so here we are.

Missy and Tots was inspired by two of my favorite women who taught me about family, creativity, comfort, and adventure, my mom and my aunt, who were Missy and Tots in their youth (they go by grown-up names now, don’t worry). 

I have absolutely no idea what I am doing – in life, with my kids, with this blog – and make most things up as I go. So, let’s see how this goes.
